Why not pair your life and calm your mind with these tools? From fidget spinners and sensory cubes to textured keychains and pop-its, care packages today are becoming softer, calmer, and a lot more mindful. Little boxes reminding people to pause, breathe, and keep their hands (and minds) occupied.

How do Fidget Toys Help

It was revealed that stopping a harmless stim causes built-up nervous energy, anxiety, and sensory overload.

Today: Stimming is widely understood across all neurotypes. While commonly associated with Autism and ADHD as a vital coping mechanism for processing the world, non-autistic individuals do it too (e.g., foot-tapping, hair-twirling, or nail-biting). The modern approach embraces stimming for everyone as a natural tool for grounding, focus, and emotional expression.

And then you can add that what happens when you are told to be still? It is that itchy feeling building up we have all felt.

That is what these tools help with. I understand that it may be difficult where you are currently to publically use these tools, but with changing landscapes and hybrid work environments and spaces we can carve out safe spaces with ourselves and peers where we can soothe our bodies when we need to focus 🙂
