LAMY expands its design-led writing portfolio with the launch of two new special edition colourways for the iconic LAMY noto —LAMY noto all-black and LAMY noto teal.
These newly introduced hues reinterpret the brand’s minimalist writing instrument through a fresh, contemporary lens while staying true to its original design philosophy. Designed by renowned Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa, the LAMY noto is guided by a singular belief: a pen should feel like a natural extension of the hand. Rooted in Fukasawa’s philosophy of “without thought” design, the pen’s softly triangular form intuitively guides the fingers into a relaxed writing position, enabling long, effortless writing sessions.
Staying true to LAMY’s Bauhaus-inspired ethos, every element of noto serves a purpose. The design is stripped of sharp edges and unnecessary lines, resulting in a form that is balanced, comfortable, and quietly precise. The special edition all-black and teal colourways reintroduce this iconic silhouette with a refined matte finish that enhances its sculptural quality. The teal edition gains further significance as teal has been named the Colour of the Year 2026 by forecasting company WGSN and colour system firm Coloro, reinforcing its relevance and contemporary appeal.
