God’s plans are better than our plans – A Blog by Michelle Sanjana Satish
“God’s plan is always the best. Sometimes the process is painful and hard, but don’t forget that when God is silent, he is doing something for you.”(Proverb)
Interpretation; Trust in God even when we are faced with challenging circumstances. God works in mysterious ways. Be patient.
The questions we tend to ask are why do certain things happen that are hard to contemplate. What is the reason for this? Let us examine this with a general scenario.
Scenario

A person suddenly gets diagnosed with a chronic health condition or illness. Our minds start to get overwhelmed. This leads to being shocked and scared that our lives have been put on hold.
It’s easy to think this is the case; however, we have to view this as a stepping stone where a new plan begins to unfold.
Physical limitations prompt us to slow down in life and take things one step at a time. At the same time we need to remember to build up our faith and pray. God could be guiding us to the right people who can provide an extra layer of support, whether it’s specialists or other mentors to help us along the way.
What it Leads to
The pain experienced builds a sense of empathy towards others. This drives us to help others dealing with similar conditions.
By being quiet during formidable moments, inner strength arises and people begin to be grateful for what they have around us such as family, pets, a roof over heads and access to resources. We begin to enjoy the small things in life.
It is important to believe that there is hope no matter what. This helps society to learn from our stories and realise that they must not give up in spite of adversities.
Joseph Campbell says “we must be willing to let go of the life we have planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us.”
Like this quote highlights, we should trust that we have a life that is already waiting for us instead of planning every aspect. It may take time, but everything will work out/ fall into place eventually.

I absolutely loved this and cannot begin to describe what a synchronous and timely read this was. I have loved both the prove verb and the Joseph Campbell quote for years but forgot about them!
This made me reflect on Carl Jung’s definition of synchronicity: the simultaneous occurrence of a mental state and an external event that share a meaningful parallel despite them not having an obvious or causal connection with each other.
Thank you for sharing this! It truly helped me out!
This is a beautifully written and deeply encouraging reflection. I especially appreciated the reminder that God’s silence does not mean His absence, but often that He is working in ways we cannot yet see. The message about finding purpose through pain, growing in empathy, and learning to cherish life’s simple blessings is both comforting and inspiring. Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful piece that encourages us to trust God’s perfect timing and His greater plan, even during life’s most difficult moments. May this message continue to bring hope and strength to many who read it.
